Move into Stillness
April 17 - 24, 2010 with Claudia Jones
About the Retreat
The 'Move into Stillness' Retreat is an opportunity to discover some simple tools that can transform your daily practice and bring balance into your day to day life.
How often are we really still, truly present? Even in our practices we are thinking about the next pose, what we will eat for breakfast or chores to be done that day. This retreat will focus on finding the stillness within, connecting with the present moment and maintaining it not only throughout our yoga practices but throughout the day.
Morning practices will consist of mindful asana (led class in detail) in the Ashtanga tradition (Mysore style will be available for those with established self-practices) simple breath work and meditation techniques.
Afternoons will offer discussion and practice of simple meditation techniques, restorative yoga asana and breath work.
Evenings will offer tratak, mantra and meditation.
