Yoga Thailand welcomes our long time student, Kanjini. Back in 2003, Kanjini was living on Koh Samui and became our first long term mysore student and then later completed the 200 hour level yoga training with us. For many years, Kanjini perform reiki treatments for guests at Yoga Thailand before moving to Bali.
Reiki is an ancient hands-on healing system that was developed in the late 1800s and early 1900s by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese physician and a devout Buddhist. Dr Hayashi who was one of Usui's main students, passed on the teachings to Takata who has influenced most of Reiki practised outside of Japan today.
This Spiritually directed Lifeforce Energy flows through all of Life within the Physical Universe and can be accessed simply by tuning in to it. This process is especially stronger after receiving attunements (empowering the student/receiver to use and access Reiki for themselves and for others) that have been handed down through different Reiki masters/teachers in the lineage of Usui.
REIKI I (2 days, 4 hours each day) - An introductory training course for anyone who is interested in their own self healing and in enhancing the quality of their everyday living. You will take with you a daily practice that can help you relax in your day to day, and also increase your energy levels. No prior training is necessary.
REIKI II (2 days, 4 hours each day) - For those who have completed Reiki I and want to take self healing to a deeper level and understand the cause of illness and imbalances. You will learn the three symbols that help you access certain frequencies of healing and also learn how to send Distant Healing
Kanjini Devi has been a practitioner in the healing arts since 1994 when she began facilitating guided journeys and meditation circles. She teaches and practices all three levels of Reiki and has been giving Reiki attunements since 2000. She has been attuned in several different lineages of Reiki and passes on these teachings in the tradition of Tibetan Usui.
Trained in the US (Monterey Institute of Touch, the Esalen Institute and the Upledger Institute) in Anatomy/Physiology, Cranio Sacral Bodywork and Deep Tissue Therapy, she brings a grounded and holistic approach to the practice of Reiki.
She received her teacher training at Yoga Thailand in 2004 and continues to practice asana in the tradition of Ashtanga Vinyasa under the guidance of Paul Dallaghan. She offers her deepest gratitude to Krishnamacharya and all teachers who continue to support and facilitate this profound and powerful practice. For more on Kanjini visit, www.essence-of-yoga.com
