Yoga: The Joy of Practice
September 15 - 22, 2012
with Elonne Stockton
About the Retreat
In this retreat, we will develop our self-practice of yoga asana and breathwork - pranayama. At the same time, we will explore where the practice of yoga comes from, what the different elements of the practice are and why we practice yoga to begin with.
All levels are welcome. This is an opportunity to be in yoga, to live it, to immerse ourselves in the practice of yoga. It is a chance to be in a healthy and uplifting setting with like-minded people, learning about the practice while building something solid that we can take with us to enrich our lives. Get in it, and develop a love and appreciation for the practice. The joy is ours to celebrate; it is already in us.
Throughout the week, we will have morning breathwork - pranayama, intention setting, chanting and asana practice (led asana and self practice classes), afternoon discussions and restorative asana classes, and of course lots of bhakti/devotion! Some mornings there will be additional silent walks or walking meditations, and some evenings we will have optional kirtan, satsang and other activities.

Testimonials
I chose the 7 day detox program whilst studying on the Teacher Training course. I am very pleased I did. It complemented the teachings and the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything slotted into place. The program was educational and cleansing for body and mind. A big thank you for all your kindness & support.

I had such an amazing and inspiring experience there last Fall during the week long retreat I can't stop
thinking about it and the opportunity to study there for an entire month.

Just allow to me say a very sincere and personal thank you for the guidance and proper introduction
I received into the ashtanga yoga technique over the past 7 days from you.
It was a very rewarding experience for me personal and professionally. I believe very much in yoga,
not only asanas, and as such it was good to spend time with you and all participants, learning, listen,
feeling and growing all in our own humble ways to become better at what we do in our lives and with our
life's surroundings.

I would recommend this retreat to anyone feeling 'bogged' down in life. To come here and treat yourself is the biggest gift of all. I leave with an amazing feeling to deal with the 'real world' in better ways and look after myself.
