Yoga: The Joy of Practice
September 15 - 22, 2012
with Elonne Stockton
About the Retreat
In this retreat, we will develop our self-practice of yoga asana and breathwork - pranayama. At the same time, we will explore where the practice of yoga comes from, what the different elements of the practice are and why we practice yoga to begin with.
All levels are welcome. This is an opportunity to be in yoga, to live it, to immerse ourselves in the practice of yoga. It is a chance to be in a healthy and uplifting setting with like-minded people, learning about the practice while building something solid that we can take with us to enrich our lives. Get in it, and develop a love and appreciation for the practice. The joy is ours to celebrate; it is already in us.
Throughout the week, we will have morning breathwork - pranayama, intention setting, chanting and asana practice (led asana and self practice classes), afternoon discussions and restorative asana classes, and of course lots of bhakti/devotion! Some mornings there will be additional silent walks or walking meditations, and some evenings we will have optional kirtan, satsang and other activities.

Testimonials
I would just like to extend my deepest thanks and gratitude to you both for taking the time and sincere
effort to help all of us stiff people. You've provided me with a tool to harness and unlock my true self which
lies dormant inside me. During the retreat, my practice evolved into something resembling an angelic shape rather
than a lump of clay.

Dear Paul,
I'm sorry that I didn't get a chance to say this to you in person before you
left, but I sincerely wanted to thank-you for all your time, effort and
expertise that you offered during the past 3 weeks of workshops you held at
Samahita Yoga Thailand. You have truly created an environment that is so easy to
completely focus on yoga and how it relates to more than just the asanas.
And I really enjoyed your down-to-earth approach and explanations.
Personally, this experience was exactly what I needed and I feel so inspired
to continue to learn more and grow in my practice - However, I must admit
that it feels a little daunting to do so in conjunction with work, and in my
very tiny village where no one else practices - but I'm optimistic. (If you
ever post a sound recording of one of your lead classes, can you please let
me know?). I do wish I could have stayed longer and I hope to return in the
near future if I can save enough money again. I really just wanted to say
that I truly respect and appreciate what you have dedicated yourself to and
shared with others. Again, Thank-you.
Kindest Regards,

I came specifically for a weight loss problem, this I achieved, and got a detox for free!! Everyone is friendly, professional and nice. You need a Gym for people like myself who did not do Yoga!!

I will definitely recommend Samahita Retreat to all my family and friends. The programs are good and according to the health issues of each person. I love the breathing and yoga classes as it improves my posture and my overall health along with the programs that I've chosen (detox program). All the staff are very well mannered, love talking and laughing with their guests, although communicating in English, they are happy dedicated, caring and give excellent service. So, more power to all and keep the good excellent work!!! Thank you very much, me and my family will be back.

I was very impressed by the whole program and I have done many detoxes. I think this is the 10th detox. I loved this one. Even though it was the Candida detox and quite challenging, what I feel like now was so worth it. The support throughout was amazing. The staff forever helpful even through my tough moments and grumpiness. I had all the detox reactions (mildly) and felt very good throughout. More importantly, the support post detox and the help have been fantastic. Thank you so much to Claudia and her team!
