Yoga: The Joy of Practice
September 15 - 22, 2012
with Elonne Stockton
About the Retreat
In this retreat, we will develop our self-practice of yoga asana and breathwork - pranayama. At the same time, we will explore where the practice of yoga comes from, what the different elements of the practice are and why we practice yoga to begin with.
All levels are welcome. This is an opportunity to be in yoga, to live it, to immerse ourselves in the practice of yoga. It is a chance to be in a healthy and uplifting setting with like-minded people, learning about the practice while building something solid that we can take with us to enrich our lives. Get in it, and develop a love and appreciation for the practice. The joy is ours to celebrate; it is already in us.
Throughout the week, we will have morning breathwork - pranayama, intention setting, chanting and asana practice (led asana and self practice classes), afternoon discussions and restorative asana classes, and of course lots of bhakti/devotion! Some mornings there will be additional silent walks or walking meditations, and some evenings we will have optional kirtan, satsang and other activities.

Testimonials
My 7 day detox has made me realize how good you can feel if you eat well and exercise. The re-education about foods will help me change my diet so I achieve my goal of feeling energized and healthy.
Ruth, Australia 2012
I feel my body, mind and soul come more together to integration because of the classes. I feel more alive!
Marjolijn, Netherlands 2012
I am doing really well, I am continuing the practice of Ashtanga Yoga really seriously. I am doing my
own practice from my house, I love it, and I have to say I think you would be proud of your student! Since last
week I am trying Ashtanga's classes in different Studios in Montreal. I found one that I like so I am
starting there next week. Thank you for introducing me to Ashtanga Yoga so well that I never want to stop it!
It is changing my life it is so rewarding for me, more than I could ever imagine!
Rene, Canada 2006
Thank you for everything. Never expected it, but it was life changing for this 'naughty' and 'down to earth' woman! It exceeded my expectations - and I lost 6 kilos and gained a lot of positive energy and creativity.
Natalie, UK 2010
Before coming here we were doubting whether to take a detox or not. Happy we did. It's a good environment to do this exercise. The combination with yoga (beginner) is perfect. Schedules of therapy can be managed around other activities, they are quite creative. Take also a day to come out of the bubble, experience normal life, see how you react to traffic, noise etc. Being a '2 plate portion' guy I didn't think it was possible, but I managed easily. Might turn me into a one plate guy. Highly recommended.
