Yoga: The Joy of Practice
September 15 - 22, 2012
with Elonne Stockton
About the Retreat
In this retreat, we will develop our self-practice of yoga asana and breathwork - pranayama. At the same time, we will explore where the practice of yoga comes from, what the different elements of the practice are and why we practice yoga to begin with.
All levels are welcome. This is an opportunity to be in yoga, to live it, to immerse ourselves in the practice of yoga. It is a chance to be in a healthy and uplifting setting with like-minded people, learning about the practice while building something solid that we can take with us to enrich our lives. Get in it, and develop a love and appreciation for the practice. The joy is ours to celebrate; it is already in us.
Throughout the week, we will have morning breathwork - pranayama, intention setting, chanting and asana practice (led asana and self practice classes), afternoon discussions and restorative asana classes, and of course lots of bhakti/devotion! Some mornings there will be additional silent walks or walking meditations, and some evenings we will have optional kirtan, satsang and other activities.
Please join us!

Testimonials
Many, many thanks for a beautiful experience at Samahita Yoga Thailand! Your warmth and hospitality turned a nice
vacation into a wonderful experience. I can not express the gratitude I feel for the guidance you provided,
Paul, in helping me to regain a practice I felt I had lost in my car accident. Thank you for your teaching,
and for encouraging my progression.

This is a team of professionals, who are very knowledgable about their field, while being kind and supportive throughout the program. Samahita Yoga Thailand also offers a healthy calm environment perfect for relaxing and especially for detoxing. I highly recommend this retreat and their detox program.

Samahita Wellness is something that has to be experienced. I had tried, in vain, on numerous occasions to detox at home. I decided to invest a week of my time in a full detox program and after completing this I truly appreciate the support required to do this. The staff at Samahita Wellness were so kind, helpful and friendly. They made the detox schedule run smoothly so I could just relax and enjoy the benefits. The support of the entire wellness team helped me to come through the week feeling stronger, healthier and more inspired than ever. The best present I have given myself this year is a stay at Samahita Wellness Center.
