Yoga Practice & Cooking for Life

September 22 - 29, 2012

with Tiana Harilela-Vicente & Shivam Vicente

About the Retreat

Simon Low yoga instructor Join Tiana and Shivam in this one week retreat comprising of cooking, food knowledge, meditation and asana. The retreat will look at how to bring the body back into balance by looking at the combination of what we eat, how we cook our food and our yogic practices.

While the morning practice will focus on Pranayama, Meditation & Asana (Ashtanga Vinyasa Mysore Style), the afternoon will look at alignment, technique and some restorative Yoga. Even if you are unfamiliar with Ashtanga we will take you though the practice step by step. Alternate afternoon sessions will include 2 lectures and 3 cooking classes directed towards a Sattvic Diet. The lectures will focus on "Learning How to Change Your Lifestyle NOW" and "How to Start and Maintain a Healthy Diet." We will also take a closer look at food - its nutrients and how to maximize the best out of fresh, wholesome ingredients. At the end of each session Shivam will provide recipes to implement into your daily life.
