About the Retreat
The beginning of the year is a great time to establish or reestablish our connection and dedication to practice. It is through our commitment to regular practice that we are able to enhance our lives, moving towards overall growth and positive development.
In this retreat, students will be given specific tools to work with and will leave with a clear direction, with a personal practice to keep up and grow with. Throughout the week we will develop our self-practice of yoga asana and breathwork - pranayama. And we will also take a deeper look at other elements of practice, like chanting and philosophy.
In the mornings there will bebreathwork - pranayama, mantra work and asana practice (led asana and self practice classes). In the afternoon we will have workshop and Q&A sessions, as well as pranayama and restorative asana classes. Some mornings there may be additional silent walks or walking meditations, and some evenings we will have optional meditation, satsang and other activities.

About the Teacher
Elonne has been a committed yoga practitioner and devotee since the early age of 14. She has lived and taught in the Bahamas, Canada, India, the United States, and Taiwan where she has taught asana, pranayama, and meditation at yoga studios, ashrams, resorts, schools, orphanages, hospitals, and clinics.
In 2006, Elonne moved to Asia, where she met her teachers, Paul Dallaghan, O.P. Tiwari, and Richard Freeman.
As Elonne's understanding of the practice grows, she feels more and more like a beginner, and she is excited to continue this journey. She feels blessed by the opportunity to teach at Samahita Retreat, and she is extremely grateful for the chance to help others while she continues her own studies. For more see her full bio.
The Daily Schedule
The program begins at 5pm on the first day of the retreat with a group welcome and departure is at 12pm on the last day.
The schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the teacher.

We only have two deluxe one bedroom suites located in our most private building closest to the sea. They have a private bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen, generous bathroom and an extra large balcony. Both suites offer a modern open living room with sofa bed, LCD TV, working desk and DVD/ iPod Stereo. They are perfect for a family or couple. The additional rate is a flat rate based on the room and is added on to the total rate package whether a single individual, couple or family.
Our guestrooms are set back just over 50 meters from the water to provide you with a private community and greater security. A selection of our rooms enjoy this spectacular sea view, while others enjoy the tropical gardens scene.

I enjoyed challenging myself through the 7 day Faster’s detox. It was an experience to have my normal food routine taken away and having to stick to a particular schedule. Not eating as soon as I woke up was probably my biggest challenge as well as feeing quite tired everyday, but this forced me to relax and really take the whole process in. I wanted to challenge my body and mind with the detox and that’s exactly what I did.

This was an excellent holiday - I relaxed, read alot of books, had free wifi, and lay by the beach and pool. I did loads of yoga and didn't feel tired. I even ate and drank well, though I was detoxing. The food was well planned and I was never hungry! (I'm small) Thank You.
