About the Retreat
This one-week retreat offers a mix of asana, meditation, practical workshops on inner alignment and talks/discussions on philosophy. The intention of this retreat is to assist students in developing mindfulness and heightened awareness. These qualities are achievable through yoga practice and in this retreat Michael will guide you in how to integrate these tools into your daily life.
The morning session will be a yoga practice in the Ashtanga Mysore Style. Mysore Style yoga practice allows students of all levels to begin or deepen their experience in yoga asana (postures). The afternoon sessions will be a combination of meditation practice,special yoga asana workshops and talks drawing on Buddhism, Advaita Vedanta, Tantra and Classical Yoga (Yoga Sutras).
This retreat is open to all levels of students.
About the Teacher
Michael was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He has studied yoga with many prominent teachers in the Krishnamacharya lineages, focusing on Iyengar and Ashtanga. He is authorized to teach Ashtanga by Sri K. PattabhiJois of Mysore India and currently studies with Richard Freeman.
Michael has spent time in monasteries in Asia and America studying meditation and this forms the foundation of his teachings on yoga and its integration into our daily lives. With an eye for detail and alignment Michael conducts workshops throughout the world emphasizing the internal practice of yoga in his teaching.

The Daily Schedule
The program begins at 5pm on the first day of the retreat with a group welcome and departure is at 12pm on the last day.
The schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the teacher.

We only have two deluxe one bedroom suites located in our most private building closest to the sea. They have a private bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen, generous bathroom and an extra large balcony. Both suites offer a modern open living room with sofa bed, LCD TV, working desk and DVD/ iPod Stereo. They are perfect for a family or couple. The additional rate is a flat rate based on the room and is added on to the total rate package whether a single individual, couple or family.
Our guestrooms are set back just over 50 meters from the water to provide you with a private community and greater security. A selection of our rooms enjoy this spectacular sea view, while others enjoy the tropical gardens scene.
