In the practice of yoga, food is tremendously important. We take this to heart at Yoga Thailand. One of the compliments we never tire of hearing from our guests is that our food is great-tasty, delicious, and fresh. What you will discover is that it's extremely good for you, too. (You'll know right away, just because you'll feel happy and satisfied after a meal.)
In Sanskrit, "sattva" means pure, light, and clear. The word also denotes good health and happiness, making it a wonderful name for our vegetarian restaurant.
Our Thai cooks prepare both Asian and European dishes that appeal to even the most discriminating diners. The food we serve is predominantly vegetarian (with a heavy homemade stamp), but we do offer eggs and fish a few times a week.
We serve most meals buffet style, in an open dining area facing the beach, but we do have an á la carte menu available too.
We favor natural and organic ingredients, buying everything fresh from the market each morning, we avoid all processed foods, and we pay attention to ayurvedic principles in our choices and preparation. Cleanliness and hygiene are top priorities, but even more important, our food is cooked with love and care by our staff, almost all of whom have been with us for years.
Wholesome, clean, and natural-these qualities inherent in our food serve to aid yoga practice and overall health.
