Of
major importance in the practice of yoga is food. We have taken
this to heart here. Our cooks are Thai and trained in Indian, Thai and
European cooking. The focus is predominantly vegetarian but we
do make eggs and fish available for those who wish a few times a week.
We keep certain pans separate for these. Cleanliness and hygiene
are of utmost importance to us.
We dine on the outdoor shala in front of the Yoga Shala, serving breakfast,
lunch and dinner. Food is a mixture between Thai, Indian and European.
It is completely home cooking (not restaurant type food) and served
buffet style. You can sit at the lounge or Thai-style on the floor with
cushions. Emphasis is given to natural and organic food choices, buying
everything fresh from the market each morning. We use organic vegetables
when possible and never any processed foods. Ayurvedic principles
are also inherent in the food we serve at each meal. There's definitely
enough to be satisfied but most importantly is its wholesome, clean
and natural, qualities to aid yoga practice and overall health. Sattvic
(for those of you who know what it means) is the motto. We're
always in the kitchen eating and trying these dishes ourselves.
Our family style environment help bring you food with great love and
care.
For those craving a little sweets, we also make our own desserts served
a few times during the week. Those with baking experience are
welcome to offer new creations. Our all natural juice bar is also
available for you to order throughout the day.
