We
have chosen the south of Samui for its quiet charm and simple island
living. The sea, white sandy beach, the breeze, fresh air, mountain
backdrop from hill to valley, wide open roads, rock boulders, spiritually
charged temple and high energy, beautiful sunrise and sunset are
many of the reasons why we love the south.
Master Plan (Beach Front)
A life’s journey is filled with many markers. Both
for us as individuals and for a project or entity. Centered
Yoga as a teaching vehicle for Paul has reached its tenth year,
beginning humbly in New York in 1998. In late 2001 both Jutima
and Paul arrived on Ko Samui and their teaching programs. By
2003 Yoga Thailand was born. During this time we have met
many wonderful people. The presence and continual visits
of you, the students, has allowed this place to flourish. It
has enabled us to grow as individuals, teachers and students. Thank
you to all who visit, stay and practice.
It is thus
our commitment and promise to offer an environment that prioritizes
personal inner growth over all else. The
health of each guest and personal practice interests are our reason
for putting such a place together. Yoga Thailand began as
a dedication to yoga and healthy living. Now after five years
it is time for a new home. Though many tell us how we could
optimize this as a business in the hospitality field the one subtle
understanding we have is how to live yoga and health first. Then
the business needs come in. As a result we have a new
property with improved facilities and guest accommodations but
our emphasis and interest remains unaffected. If anything,
a new home allows us to better offer what it is we have been doing
and believe in. Yoga and healthy living are interlinked. Whenever
we teach yoga we always speak about the diet and food. We
can now offer better support for your needs. This is our
evolution and we hope you will join us for it and enjoy the facility
and experience the energy.
Retreat Center Facilities
We have a dedicated
1600 square meter plot for all the facilities. We have
expanded the yoga shala and can divide it into one, two or three
rooms. We can better focus on different student’s levels
as a result. Just beyond this is a dedicated meditation garden
for individual use and groups, especially when we do pujas and
fire ceremonies. There is a dedicated juice bar and wellness
center to serve as a central information zone for guest’s
needs and to help more fully educate on healthy living and yoga
practices. From here advice and health programs will be administered
as well as a zone to post all student information and guest education. We
also have a bio-active water purification for guest drinking water
needs, crucial to health and the acid-alkaline balance in each
person. Vital to a healthy experience !!
There are
two dedicated treatment rooms for the colon hydrotheraphy, infared
sauna, body work and massages. We
have created a fabulous lounge for guests to relax at right within
the whole dining area. All this by the beach and salt water
swimming pool.
Seaview Guest Accommodation
Our
28 guest accommodations are to the rear of all the facilities. They
are placed in a way to have an unobstructed view of the sea and
beach. Most rooms have an outdoor tropical shower. All
the shared rooms are loft style open bedrooms providing
separate sleeping quarters. All rooms have a/c, fridge
and a hot water kettle. Each room has its
own private deck with a view to the water and open sea breeze. Queen-sized
beds and built in wardrobes, desk and shelves make up the interior.

Beyond the
guest accommodations is a playground and kid zone for both our
kids and the families who come and stay with us. It’s
removed enough from the rooms and shalas to allow privacy and quiet
yet close enough for play and fun.
If you have
been to Yoga Thailand before you’ll
find a tremendous new offering. If new you’ll enjoy
the level of a full serviced retreat center. Both of us
are putting our life into this to offer something that makes
a difference for people. The
programming will continue to be offered as before and with much
more in the offering. More personal health programs will
be available. And best of all, our rate will increase
slightly to justify the level of investment, but we aim to keep
the price as affordable and open to everyone.
